Wide Bay Central Dental Cancellation Policy:

Wide Bay Central Dental aim is to provide excellent quality dental care at an affordable price. We strive to provide patients with appropriate appointments to suit their treatment needs. It is requested that all patients make an agreed appointment time/date to assist the scheduling process.

Our goal is to provide high quality dental care to all of our patients in a timely manner. Late arrivals, late cancellations and no-shows inconvenience other patients as well as our dentists and staff. Due to this we have implemented the following policies.

Appointment reminders:

Our staff will send you a courtesy reminder via SMS 1-2 days prior to your appointment. This will allow patients with enough time to cancel their appointment if required. We request a response to this SMS. If we do not receive a response at least 24 hours prior to your appointment, your appointment will be cancelled and this appointment will be offered to a patient on our wait list. Please be aware that we will do our best to contact you to confirm your appointment before we cancel it.

Cancellations:

Canceling an appointment with more than 24 hours’ notice would be appreciated and we will be more than happy to be accommodating to the best of our abilities in this situation.

If you cancel your appointment with less than 24 hours’ notice or fail to attend your appointment for reasons out of your control (being sick, stuck in traffic, etc) occasion we will do our best to accommodate you as we understand things happen. However, if this situation arises again a $50 deposit will be required to secure any further appointments. This deposit is a credit towards your account and it will be applied to your invoice at your appointment, however if you fail to attend your appointment or cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice this deposit will be forfeited.

Booking fees:

In circumstances where appointments are for 90 minutes or greater, we will require a $100 deposit towards your treatment. This deposit is a credit towards your account and it will be applied to your invoice at the completion of any treatment. In the event that you cancel your appointment with short notice or fail to attend your appointment your deposit will be forfeited.

Please note that we reserve the right to charge up to 50% of the cost of treatment for appointments that are longer than 120 minutes.

Late arrivals:

Our appointments are booked for the specific amount of time required for treatment so that we are able to provide the necessary care for our patients. With this in mind if you arrive more than 10 minutes late to your appointment your appointment will be rescheduled upon your arrival. A late arrival to an appointment will be considered as a failure to attend and will incur the above-mentioned fees upon being rescheduled.

How to reschedule/cancel your appointment:

If you do need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, please contact our office on (07) 4194 2525 between 8:30am-5:30pm. Please note that rescheduling or cancelling appointments can only be done via phone or in practice.
